Haddington Flag Competition Friday 26th of Septemnber.
Many thanks to Haddington Golf Club, John Sandilands and the Green Keeping staff for their support. This was the first flag competition we've run and it was lots of fun. The players were given 45 shots to get as far round the course as they could. The silver was won on the 8th green, the bronze on the 9th and the gold (handicap) was one by Clara Young who had one shot left to drive down the 11th! Well done to all!
Gullane’s Stroke Play Non-Handicap Open on Sunday 31st of August was a great success. 40 children competed in the event from across East Lothian. The overall winner, boys and girls, was Charlotte Munro from Gullane with a score of 40 over 12 holes. Congratulations! As the event proved so popular we hope to establish it as an annual event. Future clubgolf Coaching
We have now reached the end of a fantastic season both in the coaching sessions and on the course.
Coaching will resume around March 2009 and all children that have been participating in clubgolf coaching will receive a letter from me, or their club, with details of the next block of coaching in due course.
NEW PRIMARY 5’s will start firstclubgolf in school as part of their PE around March 2009.
All Primary 5 children will receive an invitation through their school to continue on to clubgolf Stage 1 at a local club. Should you not receive this information by the end of April 2009 please contact me for details.
Junior golf in East Lothian needs your support!!!
clubgolf coaching and fun competitions are only possible with the support of volunteers. Without volunteers we won’t be able to offer all children the opportunity to play golf and at low costs.
If you would like to support at coaching sessions, train to become a coach or help at future fun competitions please contact me. You don’t need to be a great golfer or have lots of free time to commit …. ever hour helps!
Clubgolf continues to grow in East Lothian but without our dedicated volunteers this would not be possible. A huge thanks to everyone for their time and continued support this season.
